  • Preach Christ!

Image © 2011, Timothy Lee. Used with permission Acts 9:20 …straightway he preached Christ… Saul wasted no time in declaring the good news that genuine salvation is only found in Christ the Lord. Immediately after His salvation, he immediately preached Christ when Saul saw the truth in the Saviour and when the scales fell off from his eyes. What led Saul to so earnestly declare the gospel of Christ? He knew it was the will of God for His life He is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles Acts 9:15 Saul knew that nothing else would please God more and nothing could give Saul…

  • Whose Disciple Are You?

Image courtesy Grant McDonald on Flickr. John 9:28 Thou art his disciple; but we are Moses’ disciples. The Lord Jesus just healed a man born blind. The man did not know who healed him but he knew that someone had changed his life, someone has met the deepest needs of his soul. In his questioning by the Pharisees, he was insulted for his support of the Lord Jesus who opened his eyes and helped him see. The Pharisees, maliciously prejudiced against the Lord Jesus, took sides and said, “thou art his (the Lord Jesus’) disciple, but we are Moses’ disciples.” Does the world take sides against you for your faith?…

  • A Disciple

Image courtesy City College Norwich on Flickr. Luke 14:33 …my disciple… A disciple by definition is a learner and a follower. A person who is not interested in what he himself thinks but only what his Master says. He lives by the teachings and the lifestyle of his Master. He holds the standards and ideals set by his Lord. He wants to be like his Master. Paul, the apostle, says this: Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ. 1 Corinthians 11:1 Assuming one is already a Christian and has fully trusted Christ as his Saviour (O believer! Make this sure in your life!), what then…

  • Changed Into the Image of Christ

Image © 2009, Timothy Lee. Used with permission. 2 Corinthians 3:18 But we all beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image (of Christ) from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. The Lord has a glorious plan at the salvation of each of His children: to change them into His likeness and into His image. Sin in the life of each person brings corruption to the perfect nature that man had at the beginning of God’s creation. It has alienated each individual from the life of God and His Spirit. The image of God in each of…

  • Elohim – My Helper

Image Courtesy US Army Africa. Psalms 54:4 Behold, God is mine helper: The psalmist, none other than David himself, rejoiced in the confidence of God being His Helper. He was betrayed and found himself in trouble but the Lord, by providence, delivered him from his enemies. How many times has God saved us when we called upon the Lord of our Salvation in our troubles? He is our helper. The Hebrew word for “helper” means to surround, and by implication means that when we are in trouble, the Lord surrounds us to preserve, provide for and protect us from the impending difficulties. How does one God surround us in times…

  • Having Compassion

Jude 1:22 Of some have compassion, making a difference: There are many in this world who are trapped in sin. Some have been ignorantly led to sin and as a result, made mistakes that now enslave them. Some sadly, because of personal sin, and poor decision-making, have caused themselves to be caught. Some have intentionally gone the way of sin, done the wrong and as a result, are under the cloud of darkness and distress. No matter what the approach or the method of enslavement, they are now enslaved and caught. The apostle Jude admonishes Christians to help, to reach out and to save these because, without help, they will…
