  • Overcome Evil with Good

Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. Romans 12:20-21 How do we respond in a way that befits a child of God after enduring the insults, persecutions and opposition of the enemy and obeying God in giving place for wrath? We need to realize that vengeance is God’s. We need to be kind to those who have hurt us. The enemy is one who, in heart and deed, opposes us openly and has no kind thoughts towards us. May we never forget that love is the badge of the new believer, the symbol of the new life in Christ, and the…

  • Commitment

1 Timothy 1:11 …the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust. Commitment is a fearful word to many modern day believers because to many minds, it means the need to be bound by someone or some institution other than self. Sadly, many do not see the need to be committed to the Lord, to the Lord’s Church, to service to the Lord. Many cite personal reasons, situations and practical occurrences as reasons why they cannot be committed to the Lord. The word commit means to be entrusted to. In the words of the apostle, the Lord has entrusted to him the glorious gospel of Christ.…
