Fasting and Prayer Then I proclaimed a fast there, at the river of Ahava, that we might afflict ourselves before our God, to seek of him a right way for us, and for our little ones, and for all our substance. Ezra 8:21 Like Ezra, who sought the Lord first as Jerusalem and the Temple were about to be rebuilt, we must also seek God’s will and power before we face the year ahead. Christmas Outreach 2012 The actual date of Christ’s birth is never mentioned in the Bible, and God left no instruction for a veneration of the date. Ambassador uses the public holiday to reach friends and family with the Gospel and Christian fellowship instead.
