THANKSGIVING We are thankful to the Lord for the ladies’ fellowship and the blessing each has received as a result. May we continue to learn to grow as servants of the Lord in the church for His glory. MISSIONS CONFERENCE We thank the Lord for a wonderful mission’s conference whereby our knowledge and insight for missions has increased. We are thankful also for the Lord to bring missionary Pastor Jason Sumatra to preach last week and to challenge us to be concerned for the gospel ministry. Today we will be proposing and voting to support two missionaries. Kindly stay behind for a short business meeting. Please also remember to drop…

  • Decision

John 6:67 … Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? The Lord Jesus has preached a mighty message that HE is the Bread of Life. Whoever wants to live must come through Him. There is no other way, there is no other message and there is no other bridge to Heaven and to the true GOd of this Universe. Many cannot tolerate this message, many will not welcome this news. The bible records sadly that “From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.” John 6:66. Many who heard the word decided to walk away. Notice the Lord’s concern: He was concerned…

  • Reaping with Joy

Psalms 126:5 – 6 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him. Sowing and reaping is a law of the harvest: we will reap if we sow. Yet, in the ministry, the sowing process is very much hindered by obstacles, and hurdles. We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, and against powers, against the rulers of this world and spiritual wickedness in high places. There is no ministry that is without tears, and there is no ministry without strife. Yet deep in this verse, is the promise that God…

  • Piercing Through

Go ye therefore… Matt 28:18 The bible word GO comes from the root word peiro in Greek that gives the idea of piercing through. When the Lord Jesus gives the instruction to go ye therefore, it was not merely a suggestion but a serious command that He expected His people to follow. The goal is not only to go but also to pierce through, to make headway, to open up a pathway. We are to pierce ye therefore, ALL NATIONS. Is it possible that God calls us ALL to be missionaries, overseas? GOD did not instruct a vocation, but he gave us an OCCUPATION, that of telling people the gospel…

  • Witnesses for Christ

“…ye shall be witnesses unto me…” Acts 1:8 The Lord required workers then, and He still requires workers now. The sad truth is: many people still do not know the gospel of Jesus Christ. The Lord says that we are to be witnesses unto Him. We are to be His witness – the ones that will bear the Light of the Gospel for Him that others may know. The coming of the Holy Spirit upon the believers would mean that they were to be Christian witnesses for Christ. What would identify the marks of a Christian witness who tried to win souls for Christ? Firstly, we are witnesses for Christ…

THEME FOR OCTOBER 2010 FROM OUR LAND – TO THE REGIONS BEYOND MATT 28:19 – 20 Go ye therefore is GOD’s mandate to the local church, individually and corporately. It is a command to be obeyed not an option for consideration. Let us be ready for the great work that GOD wants ABC to embark on, to be involved in missions, and soulwinning. MISSIONS CONFERENCE We will be having our first Missions conference in Ambassador Baptist Church as we are resolutely wanting to obey the Lord in all aspects of the Great Commission. Do note the dates and pray as we prepare for the conference. Date: 17th / 24th October…

  • Missions, from the heart of GOD

Jon 1:2 Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me. Jonah the prophet was called by GOD to go to a sinful nation and to cry against it because GOD was going to judge them for their sins. Without mercy and grace, the entire city would be doomed to earthly death and eternal damnation. Yet, in the city were the innocent children and cattle: And should not I spare Nineveh, that great city, wherein are more than sixscore thousand persons that cannot discern between their right hand and their left hand; and also much cattle? Jon 4:11 . God’s heart is enlarged for…
